busted hand prints

This weekend while celebrating the holiday's and buckling down for the blizzard of 2010 I decided to craft with no preparation.  In the midst of cabin fever I goggled how to make homemade plaster and took a chance.  I had everything it required (or so I thought) 2 cups of salt, 4 cups of flour and 2 1/2 cups of water.  Well I used Kosher salt because it was all I had.  Little did I know that Kosher salt does not dissolve in water!  Finding this out half way through my project I decided to experiment anyway!

The out come after baking for 3 hours covered at 325 degrees
Stay tuned for round 2 when I can dig myself out of the snow and go to the store for table salt!
